how do i wind the string on my black and decker grasshog?

Question:

Answer: When winding the plastic line around your spool you should keep it taut( tight) when winding it as well as wind it in the direction of the arrows on the spool. Most windings are wound in an anti clock wise direction when looking at the spool from the top.

Has anyone bought a Black & Decker Grasshog electric trimmer?

Question: We did and we were disppointed at the lack of availability of the refill string for it. The machine itself is good but finding the string refills was frustrating. The places that sold this trimmer didn't bother to stock the string refills or maybe they just sold out as quickly

Answer: Your Grasshog Trimmer is Model#: GH600, and has an AFS Automatic Feed Spool. What you need is the Replacement AFS, Pre-Wound Spool. I found it at:
